Ihre Verzahnung ist so beschaffen, dass sie im Gegensatz zu europ\u00e4ischen S\u00e4gen nicht auf Schub, sondern auf Zug schneiden. Dadurch wird ein Verklemmen des Blattes vermieden und die Schnittg\u00fcte steigt. Dozuki hat ein sehr d\u00fcnnes Blatt f\u00fcr feine Schnitte, braucht aber zur Stabilisierung einen R\u00fccken, was die Schnitttiefe begrenzt.
